H.E. Ms. Ina Lepel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Pakistan, visited the historic Shrine Darbar Mohra Sharif, Rawalpindi, and met with its custodian Pir Mujtaba Farooq Gull.
During the visit, the Ambassador was briefed on the shrine’s rich spiritual legacy and its ongoing social and welfare initiatives. Darbar Mohra Sharif, a 200-year-old Sufi centre, continues to promote universal values including humanity, peace, interfaith harmony, education, countering violence and extremism, women empowerment, tolerance, and justice.
H.E. Ms. Ina Lepel also visited the Mohra Sharif Library, historical archives, and the Mazar of Mohra Sharif, where she observed efforts to preserve cultural heritage, rare manuscripts, and historical records reflecting the spiritual and cultural history of the region.
The Ambassador further visited the associated educational institution, Al Farooq Islamic and Modern Studies, where she interacted with students and emphasized that skilled education plays a vital role in making Pakistan and its people more stable and prosperous.
On this occasion, Sahabzada Omer Farooq Gull, Chairman of Helping First Welfare, expressed his sincere gratitude to H.E. Ms. Ina Lepel for visiting the holy shrine Darbar Mohra Sharif and for appreciating its spiritual, educational, and welfare services.
