Diplomatic Engagement Highlights Commitment of Pakistani Christian Community Ahead of Independence Day
ISLAMABAD — In a move underscoring interfaith harmony and international diplomacy, Joel Amir Sahotra, former Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) and President of the Peter John Foundation, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Pakistan, His Excellency Han Sungho, in Islamabad.
The bilateral dialogue focused on current socio-political developments in Pakistan, highlighting the vital contributions and ongoing challenges faced by the local Christian community.
During the discussions, Mr. Sahotra briefed Ambassador Han Sungho on the community’s active preparations for Pakistan’s Independence Day on August 14. Special prayer services are scheduled across churches nationwide, focusing on national peace, security, and economic prosperity.
Ambassador Han Sungho and Mr. Sahotra reaffirmed mutual respect and noted the positive spirit of the engagement, emphasizing the importance of continued constructive dialogue between international partners and local community leadership.
