Islamabad, Clear Skies Magazine: On 25 February 2026, the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad continued its cherished annual tradition by hosting an Iftar Reception at the Mayang Sari Hall, bringing together distinguished guests, members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials, members of the Malaysian community, and friends of Malaysia in Pakistan.

His Excellency Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, accompanied by To’ Puan Amelia Amani Lee Abdullah, warmly received the guests and officiated the event.

In his welcoming remarks, the High Commissioner underscored the spiritual significance of the holy month of Ramadan as a period of reflection, compassion, discipline, and unity. He noted that fasting fosters empathy and consideration for others—values that strengthen not only communities but also relations between nations.

The programme included a commemorative photo session, followed by a recitation of doa before the breaking of the fast. Guests then performed the Maghrib prayer prior to proceeding to dinner, which featured a selection of Malaysian and Pakistani delicacies, symbolising the rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality of both countries.

The Iftar Reception served as a meaningful platform for engagement and fellowship, further reinforcing the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation between Malaysia and Pakistan in a spirit of goodwill, unity, and mutual understanding.
