The Mohra Sharif Sufi Conference was held at the historic and sacred Darbar-e-Aliya Mohra Sharif, focusing on the urgent need for Unity of the Ummah as a foundation for global peace and stability.
People from across Pakistan and around the world gathered to pay tribute to the spiritual legacy of Mohra Sharif and its revered Sufi leaders. The event brought together distinguished guests, ambassadors, scholars, and community leaders, united by a shared vision of promoting peace, interfaith harmony, and spiritual revival through the timeless message of Sufism.
Honored Guests H.E. Rehmat Hindarta, Ambassador of Indonesia, spoke on the vital role Sufism has played in spreading Islam with peace and tolerance in Indonesia. He noted that Pakistan, too, is a land blessed by Sufi saints and said, “Allah has protected Pakistan through many trials because of its spiritual foundations.” He expressed strong interest in expanding collaboration between Indonesia and Pakistan on spiritual, cultural, and economic fronts.
H.E. Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Ambassador of Iran, expressed his deep appreciation for visiting the holy site of Mohra Sharif and meeting Pir Mujtaba Farooq Gul. He remarked that despite decades of hardship and sanctions, the people of Iran remain deeply committed to Islam as core elements of their identity.
H.E. Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of Kazakhstan, thanked Pir Mujtaba Farooq Gul for showcasing the peaceful and welcoming image of Pakistan. He highlighted the long-standing cultural and spiritual bonds between Kazakhstan and Pakistan and emphasized the vast potential for enhanced cooperation and mutual development.

Pir Mujtaba Farooq Gul, Sajjada Nasheen of Darbar-e-Aliya Mohra Sharif, warmly welcomed the international guests and shared the esteemed legacy of Mohra Sharif — a 200-year-old spiritual institution with millions of followers worldwide. He stated:
“Mohra Sharif stands as a beacon of love, peace, and the true teachings of Islam and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Our mission is to serve humanity with sincerity and compassion, and to promote the values of unity, brotherhood, and tolerance. Especially in these times of division, the role of spiritual institutions is more critical than ever.”
Sahabzada Omer Farooq Gul, Chairman of Helping First Welfare Organization, underscored the contemporary relevance of Mohra Sharif’s mission:
“In an era marked by rising Islamophobia and misinformation, Mohra Sharif is actively projecting the true image of Islam — one rooted in mercy, generosity, and service. From providing free education and orphan care to clean water and medical assistance, we are committed to social welfare alongside spiritual guidance.”
The conference concluded with a heartfelt du’a by Pir Mujtaba Farooq Gul Badshah Sahib at the end of conference did special Dua for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, everlasting global peace and the elevation and eternal reward of the martyrs of Pakistan’s Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives for their country and people.
