U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that member states of the newly established Board of Peace are set to pledge more than $5 billion for Gaza’s reconstruction and humanitarian efforts, along with thousands of personnel for a planned international stabilization force.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, President Trump stated that on February 19, 2026, he will join Board of Peace members at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C., where the financial commitments will be formally announced.
“Member states have pledged more than $5 billion toward the Gaza humanitarian and reconstruction efforts,” Trump wrote, adding that participating countries have also committed thousands of personnel to an International Stabilization Force and local police units aimed at maintaining security and peace for residents of Gaza.
The White House had earlier announced the formation of a “technocratic” National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, designed to oversee a transitional governance process as part of President Trump’s 20-point plan for the conflict-affected enclave.
Further details regarding participating nations and the structure of the stabilization force are expected to be disclosed during Thursday’s gathering in Washington.
