On 15 January, the Embassy of Romania marked Romanian Culture Day, celebrating the creativity, values, and spirit that shape Romania’s national identity and cultural heritage.

In Islamabad, His Excellency Dan Stoenescu commemorated the occasion by laying flowers at the Eminescu–Iqbal Monument, paying tribute to Mihai Eminescu, Romania’s national poet. Eminescu’s literary legacy continues to define Romanian culture and resonates as a universal voice of human values and artistic expression.

The ceremony was attended by Pakistani friends and partners from the Policy Institute for Peace and Development (PIPD) and the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), whose participation reflected the spirit of cultural dialogue and friendship between Romania and Pakistan.

The Embassy expressed its appreciation to all participants for joining the commemoration and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding.

Happy Romanian Culture Day.
