On May 12, the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan welcomed participants of the International Young Diplomat School organized by the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, bringing together students from universities across Pakistan, including Lahore, Quetta, and Sargodha.
During the meeting, Cultural Attaché of the Russian Embassy Gleb Shubin briefed the participants on the history of bilateral relations between Moscow and Islamabad, the key provisions of the Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation, as well as opportunities for Pakistani citizens to pursue higher education in Russia.
The discussion reflected the students’ strong interest in the further development of multifaceted Russia-Pakistan cooperation. Participants also underscored the importance of expanding people-to-people contacts between the peoples of Russia and Pakistan – close Eurasian neighbors.
