Tehran, Clear Skies Magazine: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held a meeting with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in Tehran, as part of his ongoing official visit aimed at supporting regional diplomatic engagements.
During the visit, the Field Marshal also met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue and hosting negotiations. He emphasized the shared and firm commitment of both countries to promoting peace and stability in the region.
Abbas Araghchi described the engagement as a reflection of the deep-rooted and strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran, and warmly welcomed Field Marshal Asim Munir to Tehran.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit is part of Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts between the United States and Iran. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also accompanying the Field Marshal during the visit.
The engagements underscore Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic role in fostering dialogue and reducing tensions, while further strengthening bilateral ties with Iran.
