The Embassy of Portugal in Islamabad proudly celebrated the National Day of Portugal 2026 with a grand reception at Sheesh Mahal Hall, Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The event brought together a distinguished gathering of members of the Diplomatic Corps, Federal Ministers, Parliamentarians, government officials, the business community, civil society, media representatives, and friends of Portugal.
The reception was graced by H.E. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, as the Chief Guest. Among the Guests of Honour were H.E. Mian Mueen Wattoo, Federal Minister for Water Resources; H.E. Syed Nehal Hashmi, Governor of Sindh; H.E. Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety; H.E. Barrister Aqeel Malik, Minister of State for Law and Justice; and Mr. Qaiser Sheikh, Former Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, along with many other distinguished guests.

O evento reuniu uma distinta representação do Corpo Diplomático, Ministros Federais, Parlamentares, representantes do Governo, da comunidade empresarial, da sociedade civil, dos meios de comunicação social e amigos de Portugal.
A receção foi presidida por S. Ex.ª Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Ministro Federal para os Paquistaneses no Estrangeiro e Desenvolvimento dos Recursos Humanos, na qualidade de Convidado de Honra. Entre as personalidades presentes destacaram-se S. Ex.ª Mian Mueen Wattoo, Ministro Federal dos Recursos Hídricos; S. Ex.ª Syed Nehal Hashmi, Governador de Sindh; S.
